The Karen Blixen House would be of interest to anyone who has read the book or seen the film Out of Africa. It's the actual house Karen Blixen lived in (in the suburb of Nairobi named Karen, after her), not the larger one nearby which was used in the movie. The Government of Denmark donated the house to Kenya as an Uhuru present. The photo was taken on a typical July 'grey day' in Nairobi (on one trip the sun caught me out in July!)
