When the migration has arrived in the Mara, it's hard to look anywhere without seeing hordes of wildebeest and zebra. Plains Zebras are often the pioneers of the migration, their mouths being able to deal with long tough stems as well as the early stages of the new flush of grass, preparing the grazing for the wildebeests and gazelles | .![]() |

Rock hyrax are so cute - they have faces which always seem to be smiling! They are believed to be close relative of the elephant (though this is under debate), because of the similarities of their antibodies, placenta, mammae and genitalia. They have tusk-like incisors which are used for defence and grooming, and their molars are used like incisors, as well as for chewing. They gestate for over seven months, and their young are well-developed at birth. | |
