Wire-tailed Swallow

Hirundo smithii smithii

This bird is easy to identify because of its pure white breast and chestnut cap. It also has long, wire-like outer tail feathers in the adults, though these can be broken.
This picture, taken at the Hippo Pools in the Masai Mara, shows an adult and a juvenile bird.
The species is widespread in East Africa near streams and lakes.
