Loxodonta africanaIt is easiest to view elephants in Etosha at waterholes, but we came upon this big bull elephant quite a distance from any waterhole. |

When we visited in early July, we found most animals at the Andoni waterhole, contrary to the information in the guidebook which says that Andoni is usually lacking in wildlife. Just goes to prove that you really have to check out all the waterholes, since local conditions can, and do, change. |
